Winchester Community has gone 8-2 against Union City recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Golden Falcons will head out on the road to square off against the Indians at 7:00 p.m. Winchester Community is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.

Winchester Community is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Cambridge City Lincoln, posting a 63-8 win. The result was nothing new for the Golden Falcons, who have now won four matchups by 28 points or more so far this season.

Winchester Community got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Caleb Hummel out in front who rushed for 68 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 41 yards and one touchdown. Jose Vasquez was another key back, rushing for 110 yards and two scores on only seven carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Winchester Community was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 343 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Winchester Community didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ian Hardwick and Aidan Weatherhead. Hardwick got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 92 points the game before, Union City was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They were beaten by Centerville 63-7. The defeat continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost six in a row.

Winchester Community's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Union City, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Everything came up roses for Winchester Community against Union City in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 48-6 victory. In that game, the Golden Falcons amassed a halftime lead of 28-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
