Soccer Game Preview: Webb vs. Powell

The Webb Spartans will challenge the Powell Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Powell is facing Webb at the wrong time: Webb suffered their first home loss of the season on Thursday and they're likely out for redemption. They lost 5-2 to the Rebels. While losing is never fun, Webb can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 111th, while West are ranked 11th).

Meanwhile, after soaring to nine goals the game before, Powell was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They came up short against Knoxville Central, falling 4-0. Powell have struggled against Knoxville Central recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Webb now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for Powell, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
