Basketball Recap: Northview Chiefs vs. Jay Royals
Northview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 72-38 loss at the hands of the Jay Royals. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chiefs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-46 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Northview saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Caleb Levins posted 14 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Levins a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Kayden Samelson, who scored eight points and 15 rebounds.
Northview's defeat dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Jay, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-7 record.
