Baseball Game Preview: Greece Arcadia Titans vs. Mendon Vikings

Greece Arcadia is 2-7 against Mendon since May of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Titans will be playing at home against the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. Greece Arcadia will be strutting in after a victory while Mendon will be coming in after a defeat.

Six must be Greece Arcadia's lucky number: they beat Greece Olympia/Greece Odyssey with that score not once but twice on Saturday. The Titans beat Greece Olympia/Greece Odyssey by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 6-3. The Titans haven't had any issues with Greece Olympia/Greece Odyssey recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Mendon has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.59 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They came up short against Sutherland, falling 13-0. The Vikings' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Mendon got a good showing from Nathan Markevicz, who pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Markevicz has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

Mendon's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Greece Arcadia, their victory bumped their record up to 4-13.
