On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to McComb's defensive line and their three sacks. Another thorn in Leake Central's side was Hackett, who picked up a sack, made 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss), and defended one pass.
Leake Central's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ty'Lan Fortune, who picked up 177 receiving yards and one TD, and Javario Daley, who rushed for 72 yards and one touchdown. Fortune's longest reception was for an incredible 70 yards. Israel Ross made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
