Basketball Recap: Bishop Ryan Takes a Loss

Bishop Ryan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 57-32 to the St. John Woodchucks. While the Lions didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Woodchucks 12-8 in the first quarter.

Kennley Davis was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 11 steals for St. John. The dominant performance gave Davis a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Delorme, who posted eight points and five steals.

Bishop Ryan's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for St. John, they moved to 3-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Bishop Ryan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 46-41 defeat against Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood on the 4th. As for St. John, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 66-58 loss against Our Redeemer's Christian on the 31st.
