Football Recap: St. Thomas Catholic's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

It was a Battle of the Birds when St. Thomas Catholic challenged Kinkaid on Friday. The Eagles took a hard 21-6 fall against the Falcons. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 27-17 to the Falcons when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, St. Thomas Catholic still got an impressive performance from Nate Tidwell, who picked up 119 receiving yards and one touchdown. Tidwell was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 55 yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, St. Thomas Catholic fell to 2-1. As for Kinkaid, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

St. Thomas Catholic will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on St. Pius X at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. The match will give the Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Kinkaid, they have already played their next contest, a 42-24 victory against Rockport-Fulton on the 19th.
