A Season-Best Effort from Bobby Rogers Leads Tom Bean over Wolfe City
Tom Bean came up short on Friday despite Bobby Rogers delivering his best game to date. Rogers rushed for 138 yards and three touchdowns. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in November of 2023. He has become a key player for Tom Bean: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 0-3 otherwise.
If history really does repeat itself, Rogers might just drop another big game when he faces off against Nocona on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Rogers saw the Indians), he threw for 265 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown.

Hd Davis Delivers Electric Performance Vs Tom Bean
Hd Davis's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his 11th-straight game with 102+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 305 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 57 yards.
The win (which was Wolfe City's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Davis and Wolfe City will challenge Whitewright at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Zane Fuentes Turns in Season-Best Performance
Alvord was led to victory by Zane Fuentes, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Fuentes rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023.
Whitewright had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Fuentes it was a similar story. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Fuentes saw the Tigers), he rushed for 186 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.

Maguire Poole put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in October of 2023 on Friday. He picked up 35 receiving yards, and also rushed for 30 yards.
This season, Poole has averaged 31 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 15.13 receiving yards per game.
