Basketball Recap: Burnet Comes Up Short

Burnet and La Vega squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Burnet had to settle for second. They lost to the Pirates on the road by a 65-49 margin. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 580th, while the Pirates are ranked 212th).

Burnet's defeat dropped their record down to 19-15. As for La Vega, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-4.

As of now, neither Burnet nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
