Softball Recap: West Charlotte's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

After soaring to 12 runs the game before, West Charlotte was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They came up short against the Ballantyne Ridge Wolves, falling 17-1. The loss was the Lions' first of the season.

West Charlotte's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Ballantyne Ridge, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

West Charlotte has already played their next match, a 20-12 loss against Mallard Creek on the 11th. As for Ballantyne Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Myers Park on the 4th.
