Byron hadn't done well against Lutheran recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Tigers walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Crusaders. The win was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won six matches in a row.

While Byron might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Lutheran scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-19.

Byron's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Lutheran, they dropped their record down to 5-16 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Byron wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Rockford Christian on the 9th. As for Lutheran, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Oregon on the 14th.
