Baseball Recap: Pine View Find Success

It was a proper cat-fight when Pine View took on Hurricane on Tuesday. The Panthers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Tigers 9-8. With that victory, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Porter Campbell made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Raiden Hunt, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Luke Bates was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Pine View's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Hurricane, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.
