Basketball Recap: Discovery Starts Season with Victory at Home

Discovery took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Friday. They escaped with a win against the Bethlehem Christian Academy Knights by the margin of a single free throw, 51-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Titans have posted since December 16, 2024.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Adian Grady, who posted 16 points along with five assists and three steals. Grady has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Zion Square was another key player, shooting 50% from the field en route to 11 points and six boards.

Bethlehem Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Discovery is taking a road trip to face off against Chamblee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bethlehem Christian Academy, they will welcome Lanier Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
