Purchase Line had lost four games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 9-7 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the United Lions a 7-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Red Dragons, who have now won six matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Rylee Mahaffey was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 17 over seven innings pitched. Those 17 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
