Volleyball Recap: Cahokia Comes Up Short

Cahokia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Alton Redbirds. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Redbirds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-17.

Cahokia's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Alton, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cahokia will take on Mt. Vernon at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Alton, they will challenge Belleville West at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
