Football Game Preview: Scott City Rams vs. Dexter Bearcats

The Scott City Rams will take on the Dexter Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dexter took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Scott City, who comes in off a win.

Scott City is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 58-14 win over Charleston. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Rams considering their ten-point performance the matchup before.

Meanwhile, Dexter was just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 22-21 to Central. The Bearcats were up 21-7 in the third quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Scott City is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.2 points over those games. Having lost for the first time this season, Dexter fell to 7-1.

Scott City was taken down by Dexter 62-7 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Rams, Jett Grams (who rushed for 191 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
