Basketball Recap: Dr. Krop Lightning vs. Norland Vikings
Dr. Krop was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 65-26 loss at the hands of the Norland Vikings. The Lightning lost against the Vikings in their previous head to head back in November of 2016, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 73-65 score last time.

Several Lightning players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Luis Cassanova, who posted seven points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Cassanova a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Clayton Owens, who scored six points and eight rebounds.
Norland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Oneal Norelus led the charge by putting up 11 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Anthony Walcott, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Dr. Krop's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Norland, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.
