Basketball Game Preview: Rolesville Rams vs. E.E. Smith Golden Bulls

The Rolesville Rams will challenge the E.E. Smith Golden Bulls at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Rolesville took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 46-39 win over Wake Forest.

Meanwhile, E.E. Smith put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Trinity Christian 53-28.

E.E. Smith's win came from a few key players Rolesville will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Azariah Brunson, who posted seven points in addition to eight boards and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 17 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Madison Fox, who put up eight points and four steals.

E.E. Smith smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 20 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Rolesville's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for E.E. Smith, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
