Volleyball Recap: Raytown Falls Short of Rockhurst in the Playoffs

Raytown and Rockhurst squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Raytown had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Hawklets. The Bluejays' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-2, 25-5, 25-7.

Rockhurst found their leader in freshman Philip Pfeiffer, who had six digs and four aces.

Raytown's defeat dropped their record down to 3-22. As for Rockhurst, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 19-4.

Raytown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rockhurst, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Grandview on the 16th.
