Basketball Recap: Clark's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

If Clark was riding high fresh off their 57-19 takedown of Madison last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Clark Cougars fell to the Brandeis Broncos 41-35. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Broncos earlier this season, when they won 41-33.

Mia Ramos continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Brandeis, putting up 19 points along with five rebounds and five steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Ramos has scored at least a third of Brandeis' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Pierson, who posted five points and five rebounds.

Clark's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-12. As for Brandeis, they pushed their record up to 10-16 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

The future could be bright for both Clark and Brandeis: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Clark will try to hand SA Roosevelt their third-straight defeat when the two meet at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Brandeis will try to hand Madison their ninth-straight loss when the two meet at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
