Basketball Game Preview: St. Mary's Central Saints vs. Jamestown Bluejays

St. Mary's Central hasn't had much luck against Jamestown recently, but that could start to change on Friday. After both having extra time off, both will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 7:45 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Friday, St. Mary's Central came up short against Legacy and fell 74-65. While losing is never fun, the Saints can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while Legacy are ranked eighth).

Meanwhile, Jamestown was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt an 84-56 defeat at the hands of Mandan.

This is the second loss in a row for St. Mary's Central and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Jamestown, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Things could have been worse for St. Mary's Central, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 78-62 loss to Jamestown in their previous meeting back in January.
