Volleyball Recap: Mountain Crest Mustangs vs. Timpview Thunderbirds
Mountain Crest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Timpview Thunderbirds.
Brixton Whoolery paced Mountain Crest's offense, picking up eight kills. Whoolery got some help from Breckan Jessup and his 26 assists. Langdyn Brown controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Mountain Crest's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Timpview, with the victory, they broke their 15-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-17.
Coming up, Mountain Crest will square off against Sky View at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bobcats will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Timpview, they will welcome Maple Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
