Volleyball Recap: Edgewood Takes a Loss

Edgewood lost against Bellbrook on September 10th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Eagles. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Railynn Bowman paced Edgewood's offense, picking up 13 kills. Bowman got some help from Ella Crist and her 26 assists. Crist also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kaylee Barker, each putting up five.

Edgewood's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Bellbrook, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-6.

Coincidentally, Edgewood and Bellbrook will both be playing Talawanda the next time they take the court. The Golden Eagles will host the Brave at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Cougars will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
