Football Recap: Suffern Mounties vs. North Rockland Raiders
Suffern extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to ten on Friday, dropping them down to 0-7. They were beaten by the North Rockland Raiders 40-6. If the Mounties were looking for revenge after losing 29-0 to the Raiders when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for North Rockland, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. That 34 point margin sets a new team best for them this season.
Christopher Norman was his usual excellent self, rushing for 99 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Suffern will square off against rival New Rochelle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, North Rockland is set to take on their familiar foe Arlington at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
