Schaumburg came tearing into Thursday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Palatine Pirates. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Saxons have posted against the Pirates since April 4, 2023.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Schaumburg got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 20-25, 25-23.

Schaumburg's win bumped their record up to 16-12. As for Palatine, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-15.
