Football Recap: Sarasota Christian Takes a Loss

Sarasota Christian extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 3-4. They were outmatched by the Seffner Christian Crusaders and fell 48-14. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blazers of the 54-13 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Although Sarasota Christian took the loss, they still got scores from Colton Loftus and Travis Miller.

As for Seffner Christian, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Considering they have won four contests by more than 33 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Keion Moore continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 190 yards and four TDs on only ten carries. Those 190 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sarasota Christian will welcome Gateway Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blazers will be up against the Griffins' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.83 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Seffner Christian, they will host Cambridge Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Crusaders their first taste of in-conference action this season.
