Basketball Recap: Jordan-Matthews Takes a Loss

Jordan-Matthews was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Seaforth Hawks, falling 53-14. While losing is never fun, the Jets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 490th, while the Hawks are ranked 37th).

Seaforth's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gabrielle White, who posted ten points and five rebounds. White is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games she's played. Emma-Grace Hill was another key player, going 6-for-9 on her way to 12 points.

Jordan-Matthews' loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Seaforth, they pushed their record up to 20-2 with the win, which was their 12th straight on the road.

Jordan-Matthews didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-11 defeat against Chatham Central on the 12th. As for Seaforth, they have also already played their next matchup, a 64-30 victory against Graham on the 12th.
