Basketball Recap: Manassas Park Takes a Loss

Manassas Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 84-33 loss at the hands of the Skyline Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 403rd, while the Hawks are ranked 71st).

Manassas Park's loss dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Skyline, they pushed their record up to 16-3 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Manassas Park and Warren County will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. As for Skyline, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Handley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Handley will roll in looking for their 18th straight win, something Skyline surely won't give up without a fight.
