Mater Dei Catholic's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Hilltop Lancers with a sharp 9-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Crusaders, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Gael Perez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Mater Dei Catholic got a big performance out of Mateo Gonzalez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one run. Those three RBI gave Gonzalez a new career-high. Xavier Jauregui was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs.
