Basketball Recap: Grapevine Faith Christian Takes a Loss

Grapevine Faith Christian and Brentwood Christian squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Grapevine Faith Christian had to settle for second. They came up short against the Brentwood Christian Bears, falling 78-53. The Lions were down 57-33 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

When it comes to explaining why Grapevine Faith Christian lost, don't look at Landon Harlin. Despite the final result, he went 8-for-18 on his way to 18 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brennen Byrd, who posted ten points and seven boards.

Grapevine Faith Christian dropped their record down to 28-9 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Brentwood Christian, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 27-8.
