Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Baldwin Park

Baldwin Park came tearing into Saturday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Southwestern Academy Sun as they made off with a 53-30 win. The Braves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Eric Avila was his usual excellent self, putting up 11 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Louie Quezada, who posted eight points.

Baldwin Park's record is now 8-2. As for Southwestern Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Baldwin Park will square off against Arroyo at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Southwestern Academy, they will challenge Brio College Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
