Softball Recap: Fort Dale Academy Comes Up Short

Fort Dale Academy lost against Hooper Academy back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles fell 6-3 to the Colts. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Anna Claire Thomas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Fort Dale Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Natalie Skipper, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Fort Dale Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Hooper Academy, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Fort Dale Academy will look to defend their home field on Monday against Monroe Academy at 5:30 p.m. As for Hooper Academy, they will square off against Evangel Christian at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
