Basketball Recap: San Francisco Waldorf Comes Up Short

San Francisco Waldorf suffered their biggest loss since November 23, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against the Gateway Gators, falling 74-50. The Wolverines haven't had much luck with the Gators recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the loss, San Francisco Waldorf still got an impressive performance from Micah Gowe, who went 7 for 8 on his way to 19 points. The dominant performance gave Gowe a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Appel, who posted six points.

San Francisco Waldorf now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Gateway, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-5.

San Francisco Waldorf is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will challenge Jewish Community at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gateway, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Drew at 2:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Gateway's favor as the team sits on seven straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Drew has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
