Basketball Recap: ASU Prep Poly Takes a Loss

ASU Prep Poly lost against East Valley Athletes for Christ back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. ASU Prep Poly had to suffer through a 68-31 loss at the hands of East Valley Athletes for Christ. ASU Prep Poly was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-16.

Despite the loss, ASU Prep Poly still got an impressive performance from Justin Hudson, who posted 19 points and seven boards. The game was Hudson's third in a row with at least 19 points.

East Valley Athletes for Christ was led to victory by Landen Marker and Carson Ream. Marker went 9-for-18 en route to 26 points, while Ream dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten rebounds. That's the most points Marker has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Colton Ream, who had nine points and eight boards.

Having lost for the first time this season, ASU Prep Poly fell to 3-1. As for East Valley Athletes for Christ, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

While ASU Prep Poly had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
