Volleyball Recap: St. Mary's Comes Up Short

After flying high against Sahuarita last Friday, St. Mary came back down to earth. The Knights lost 3-0 to the Mesquite Wildcats on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Knights have suffered since March 25th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-14, 25-22.

St. Mary's moved to 7-8 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Mesquite, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-6.

While St. Mary's had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
