Basketball Recap: South Atlanta Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, South Atlanta couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 48-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Laney Wildcats on Saturday. The Hornets were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in February of 2018.

Despite the loss, South Atlanta still got an impressive performance from Duor Duor, who en route to 17 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Christian Thornhill, who posted four points.

South Atlanta's loss dropped their record down to 20-9. As for Laney, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-7.

South Atlanta does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Laney, they will take on Tattnall County on Wednesday. Tattnall County will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Laney surely won't give up without a fight.
