Basketball Recap: Northeast Takes a Loss

After flying high against Wilton last Tuesday, Northeast came back down to earth. The Northeast Rebels were beaten by the Cascade Cougars 61-26 on Friday. The match marked the Rebels' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

With the defeat, Northeast broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-3. As for Cascade, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northeast and Bellevue will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northeast is facing Bellevue at the right time seeing as Bellevue is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Cascade, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Cascade Cougars face off against the Monticello Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Monticello will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Cascade surely won't give up without a fight.
