Basketball Recap: Midfield Skates Past Fultondale with Ease

Midfield waltzed into their match on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They claimed a resounding 56-12 victory over the Fultondale Wildcats. With the Patriots ahead 30-8 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Midfield's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kamiya Webb, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Webb has scored at least a third of Midfield's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Stokes, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 17 points.

Midfield has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Fultondale, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.

Midfield will challenge Altamont at 5:00 p.m. on January 13th. Fultondale has already played their next match, a 63-47 victory against Tarrant on the 8th.
