Basketball Recap: Danville Comes Up Short

After flying high against Casey County on Monday, Danville came back down to earth. The Danville Admirals took a hard 51-34 fall against the West Jessamine Colts on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Admirals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 135th, while the Colts are ranked 21st).

Danville's defeat dropped their record down to 10-17. As for West Jessamine, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which lines up perfectly with their 21-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Danville will head out to face off against South Laurel at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in South Laurel's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Danville has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road. As for West Jessamine, they will face off against Anderson County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
