Basketball Recap: Jackson Generals vs. Coral Park Rams
The Coral Park Rams typically have all the answers at home, but on Thursday the Jackson Generals proved too difficult a challenge. They skirted past the Rams 57-54. The win made it back-to-back wins for Jackson.
Jordany Fils-Aime continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points along with five rebounds and four steals. He hasn't dropped below 16 points for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Leonard Clark, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Jackson pushed their record up to 12-9 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points per game. As for Coral Park, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-10.
Jackson will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Knights on February 6th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Florida (iMater Charter is ranked 446th, while the Generals are ranked 423rd). As for Coral Park, they will square off against the Lions at TBD on Tuesday. Mater Academy Charter will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
