Baseball Recap: Fayetteville-Manlius Takes a Loss

Fayetteville-Manlius fell victim to Oswego and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 10-0 to the Bucs. Surprisingly, this marked the Hornets' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Fayetteville-Manlius got a good showing from Christian Higgins, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Fayetteville-Manlius saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jeremy Albert, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases. Those stolen bases were Albert's first of the season.

Fayetteville-Manlius' loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Oswego, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

While Fayetteville-Manlius had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
