Basketball Recap: Xavier Prep Comes Up Short

Xavier Prep lost against Palo Verde Valley two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Xavier Prep Saints lost 60-37 to the Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets.

It was another big night for Zaraivion Crowe, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 11 boards for Palo Verde Valley. Crowe's afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Donnelley, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 10 points along with eight boards and three steals.

Xavier Prep's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Palo Verde Valley, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-8.

Xavier Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 57-47 defeat against Coachella Valley on the 28th. As for Palo Verde Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-54 loss against Stevenson on the 28th.
