Recap: Altoona-Midway Jets vs. Southeast Lancers

After a string of three wins, the Altoona-Midway Jets's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 60-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Southeast. Altoona-Midway has struggled against Southeast recently, as their match on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Altoona-Midway lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being William Stackhouse, who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Stackhouse is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Jacob Meigs was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with three steals and three blocks.

Altoona-Midway's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Southeast, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Altoona-Midway will take on Pleasanton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Pleasanton's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five contests. As for Southeast, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Jayhawk Linn at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kansas (Jayhawk Linn is ranked 332nd, while Southeast is ranked 308th).
