Recap: Clay-Chalkville Cougars vs. Pinson Valley Indians

The Clay-Chalkville Cougars entered their tilt with the Pinson Valley Indians with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Clay-Chalkville sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 60-58 win over Pinson Valley on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Clay-Chalkville has posted yet this season.

Pinson Valley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Camron Frost, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Frost has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Clyde Walters, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 assists.

Clay-Chalkville is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. As for Pinson Valley, their defeat ended a 14-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clay-Chalkville will take on Mortimer Jordan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pinson Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Center Point at 7:30 p.m.
