Sumrall won the last time they faced Pass Christian and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bobcats blew past the Pirates 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Bobcats, who have now won 13 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Leo Odom and Tyler Lowery did most of the damage at the plate: Odom went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Lowery went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Lowery a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Landon Hawkins, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Sumrall was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .350 or higher in three consecutive games.

Sumrall's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-7. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Pass Christian, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-16.

Looking ahead, Sumrall will be playing in front of their home fans against Florence at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Bobcats surely won't give up without a fight. Pass Christian will be paying especially close attention to Sumrall's matchup: after Sumrall faces off against Florence, they'll take on Pass Christian again at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
