Recap: West Shore Christian Academy vs. Nativity BVM Green Wave

West Shore Christian Academy lost against the Nativity BVM Green Wave back in March of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. West Shore Christian Academy was beaten by Nativity BVM 72-29. While losing is never fun, West Shore Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 547th, while Nativity BVM is ranked 241st).

Several West Shore Christian Academy players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josiah Martin, who scored eight points.

Nativity BVM's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Trey Keating, who scored 24 points along with three steals. Keating has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 11 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mike Quirk, who scored 14 points along with five assists and five rebounds.

West Shore Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Nativity BVM, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Shore Christian Academy will challenge York Country Day at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Nativity BVM, Nativity BVM and Mahanoy Area will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Mahanoy Area is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
