Softball Recap: Peoria Takes a Loss

Peoria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 37th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Agua Fria Owls, falling 15-8. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly seven runs.

Anieah Lewis was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Genesis Parker, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Peoria's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Agua Fria, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-10 record this season.

Peoria has already played their next game (against Cactus Shadows), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Agua Fria will be paying especially close attention to the Panthers' contest: after the Panthers faces off against the Falcons, they'll take on Agua Fria again at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
