Basketball Recap: Clear Lake Comes Up Short

Clear Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 49-36 to the Clear Falls Knights. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 39-37 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Clear Lake lost, don't look at Carmen Evans. Despite the final result, she went 7 for 17 on her way to 22 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Evans has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played.

It was another big night for Kyndall King, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards for Clear Falls. The team also got some help courtesy of Adarra Vanderford, who posted 11 points.

Clear Lake's loss dropped their record down to 15-21. As for Clear Falls, their win bumped their record up to 12-19.

As of now, neither Clear Lake nor Clear Falls have any future games scheduled.
