Soccer Game Preview: Santa Fe South vs. MacArthur

Santa Fe South has won four straight games at home, while MacArthur has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Saints will welcome the Highlanders at 5:00 p.m.

Santa Fe South had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least four goals, but Noble put an end to it on Thursday. The Saints lost 4-0 to the Bears. Santa Fe South haven't had much luck with Noble recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, MacArthur made easy work of Elgin on Thursday and carried off a 6-1 victory. Considering MacArthur have won seven contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Elgin with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jacee Seaton (3), Emma Hart (2), and Naleah Cordes.

MacArthur is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 38 goals over those nine matches. As for Santa Fe South, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.

Santa Fe South beat MacArthur by a goal in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 1-0. Do the Saints have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Highlanders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
