Basketball Game Preview: Hazlehurst Indians vs. Wesson Cobras

Hazlehurst has gone 9-1 against Wesson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Cobras at 10:15 a.m. Wesson took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Hazlehurst, who comes in off a win.

While Hazlehurst didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Puckett by a score of 55-42 on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Meanwhile, Wesson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by North Pike and fell 73-21. The contest marked the Cobras' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Hazlehurst's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Wesson, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Hazlehurst and Wesson were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but Hazlehurst came up empty-handed after a 63-62 defeat. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
